Mother of All Self-Referential Posts

I sit here in mild self-annoyance because I posted the perfect Mother's Day image last Monday.

The image above was not drawn for today and it was never posted on Botaday before. It was drawn for a Mother's Day card I sent to my sister-in-law in 2010. (She uses gloves to clean house and is a big fan of Dexter's Lab)

I tend to be oblivious to impending dates of significance. I didn't find out about the unofficial "Star Wars Day" (did I say significance?) until the day before and the image I had for it was posted a month earlier. It was only later that same day that I came up with "Pew Pew".

I had previously drawn but only acci/coincidentally decided to post "Cruise Lips" on the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

Sometimes, my creation of images seems almost prescient. I drew the images for "Quantum Notputing" just before a flurry of quantum entanglement stories appeared on tech blogs. It was only after I read (the headlines of) those stories that I realized these two images could be combined into a post referencing the phenomenon.

And so on.

Moms, have a great day! Children of moms, make sure they have a great day.

Here's a link to a Mom's Day post from a few years back.
