But hey, if I draw something, and it survives Botification, I'm posting it even if I can't explain it.
And I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Cheap shot, drop shadow!"
Well yes, yes it is. There is a drop shadow and it's largely indefensible.
But wait! Let me try to defend it, anyway
You see, I made the drawing too short. Aligning the bottom of the necks of the head things with the bottom edge of the page would have tortured the composition. Now, I could have shrunk the page size, but then I would have just passed the discomfort on to anyone who tried to frame a print.
The only thing I could think of to accommodate the image and balance the composition was a frame. Once I had the frame in place, I succumbed to temptation and added the shadow.
All I can say is, the next time I'm drawing head things, I'll try to remember to give them a bit more neck.
