There's not a lot going on with this guy.
I was playing around with the shadows in the gauges, trying to emulate the look of old dials with faded faces, kind of like what you would see on equipment sitting in a junk yard.
I'm always trying new things when I work on a bot. I draw a lot, and then pick out an image if the line work appeals to me. I try not to rework a drawing and, because the originals are in ballpoint pen, I don't really have much choice about that anyway. The original drawings are very serendipitous. I draw and draw and draw, filling up pages, and then scan them in and pick out several images, if any.
The coloring is a constant adventure. I am getting more confident with my use of Inkscape.
